CASUARINACEAE – Allocasuarina distyla – Scrub She-Oak
Found at Bangalley Head, Chiltern Road West, Cromer Heights, Manly Dam, North Head-Manly, Terrey Hills, Turimetta Head and the West Head tracks. Male flower spikes can be seen from June until September. Female cones can be seen throughout the year. This hardy small tree grows in tough conditions on coastal headlands so in these areas has a dense appearance. The branchlets have 6-8 leaf teeth.
