Hakea propinqua

PROTEACEAE – Hakea propinqua – Needlebush

Found on the Caleyi Track, Chiltern Track North, Chiltern Road West, Cromer Heights, Deep Creek, Manly Dam, Terrey Hills and the West Head tracks. Seen flowering from April to July. To differentiate from the other Hakeas, this plant has a very knobbly round fruit and the stems also appear red.
