ASPARAGACEAE – Lomandra longifolia – Spiny-headed Mat-rush

Widespread on the Northern Beaches. Found on Bangalley Head, the Caleyi Track, Cromer Heights, Deep Creek, Katandra Bushland Sanctuary, Manly Dam, North Head-Manly, Terrey Hills, Turimetta, Warriewood Wetlands and the West Head tracks. Seen flowering from May to November. A large plant with long leaves that have a definite toothed tip.
