SMILACACEAE – Smilax australis – Lawyer Vine, Wait-a-while, Barbwire Vine

Seen at Bangalley Head, Irrawong Reserve and Ingleside Chase – seen flowering in September. This does not have the sweet taste of S.glyciphylla; also note the much larger leaves with 5 longitudinal veins (as opposed to 3); also the stems have thorns.
